HAWKSBILL (critically endangered)
They are the most endangered among the seven species of marine turtles. It is believed that there are only 8,000 nesting females left in the wild.
Source of inspiration:
-Bag: Shell. The shell has unfortunately been used as a material for crafts for many years.
-Print: Inspired by the habitat and favorite food of the hawksbill turtle (algae, sponge, jellyfish).
Major threats: Illegal fishing and pollution.
How can we help: Never buy products with turtle shell, use less plastic, pick up garbage from the sea/beach whenever you have a chance, volunteer/donate to the different conservation projects that support them.
